I was recently given a small icecream maker ( http://www.rivalproducts.com/athomeproductdetail.aspx?pid=2228&cid=229 )so0 I've been experementing with icecream a little. It's more expensive then Waht i could get at the store, but it's still fun.

Here's the original recipe for vanella ice cream

1 1/2 cup whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
dash salt
1 cup half and half
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 table spoon vanilla extract

however i didn't have any half and half available so i changed the recipe to...

2 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
dash salt
1 cup whipping cream
1 table spoon vanilla extract

I also added a basket of black berrys i bought at the farmers market.

Next time i add berries i think i'll mash them up so the flavore will be distrributed more evenly through the icecream.

I let it beat for 40 minutes. and it still came out a little runny.

I think next time I'll replace the half and hgalf with more whipping cream and I may let it beat for an hour.
