portable second life
Jul. 27th, 2008 10:45 pmI came across this interesting site today. http://scottsecondlife.blogspot.com/2008/05/running-second-life-from-flash-drive.html
It tells how you can run second life from a thumb drive. Supposedly you can install SL to a thumb drive and then run it from any computer with a USB port. However second life is a bit picky about the computers it will run on. I followed the instructions and tryed running it on my lap top. My lap top is so old it will only run up to 24 bit colors and sl requires 32 bit. No luck there. Then i tried it on my second desktop but it wouldn't run it becouse it said my display driver is out of date. No luck there either. Tomorrow i'll see if i can get it to run on one of the much nicer laptops at work.
However it does look like it should work. After all it did try to load on my two computers at least.
