What to do on a snowy day?

 We've got a snow storm here, not as big as the one back east but it's been snowing off and on for most of the day. It's been a while since I've been out with my camera. I decided to try my hand at photographing snowflakes. Don Komarechka does some beautiful snowflake macro photography and has a lot of advice on how to do it. Here's what I ended up with.

I don't have specialized equipment for this I just used my 70 - 300 telephoto macro  cropped the image way down and made some adjustments in lightroom. I'm very pleased with them considering the limitations I had to deal with.
